[Forum] Accidentally deleted Master Style - can I get it back?

Hi everyone,

I *thought* I was deleting my vb3 incompatible style but being a numpti my mouse wheel scrolled and I've deleted my Master Style.

Can I get this back? I've tried running the upgrade script again, I've created a new style which appears but still isn't the uneditable "Master Style". Also the "rebuild styles" link is missing.

Any help appreciated

you don't need to run any upgrade script
go to styles and click the add new style on the right, in the center and you can add the default style again
if that doesn't work (which it will) open a support ticket

Going to Styles and Templates - Add New Style - just creates a basic style, it doesn't replace the original Master Style. It also doesn't give me back the link "Rebuild all styles" that should be next to the "Add New Style" link.

Any ideas or should I just open a ticket?

Did you try uploading tools.php (from the do_not_upload directory) into your admincp, then point your browser at it, enter your customer number, then you can reset the Style there.

By 'Master', do you mean your own customized style or the 'Stock' vB style?

I tried that - I can use all the tools in there EXCEPT the style option - it gives me an Access Denied error.

Hmmm, then I suppose I would put in a support ticket and let support look into the issue.

Note: 'Rebuild all styles' is only available in debug mode.

To enter debug mode add this to config.php to enter into debug mode, right under this line:

<?php

Add this line:

$config['Misc']['debug'] = 1;

When you are done, either remove or comment out that line.
