Is there a setting that can allow users to upload/insert images directly into the forums instead of having to link to images hosted elsewhere?

In fact I can see in THIS forum that I can insert an image from my computer, so must be possible, just not sure where the setting us? :-( -
Have you enabled the Asset Manager here:
AdminCP > Settings > Options > Message Attachment Options > Asset Manager - Enable
and in your UserCP > General Settings > Enhanced Attachment UploadingComment

Yes, I have the first part enabled, but pardon me as a complete newbie here, but when you refer to the UserCP settings where do I find this?

I'm not sure if this is the same issue. I have both of these settings enabled.
If I log in as a normal registered user (not as an admin) just like in this forum and I go to post a new thread and want to insert an image I'm only presented with a window that only allows me to type in an URL to an image (I cannot upload one from my local computer).
How and where do I change it so that registered users have the choice to upload an image from their computer or link to an URL with their image? It must be in the adminCP somewhere???

This is really getting confusing now. There is no more UserCP in vb4, so you've got to stop telling people to look for it. But also, there's no such path in 401; it's actually under Forums>Forum Settings>Miscellaneous Options>Enable Enhanced Attachment Uploading (at least in 401).Comment

Can any body help me to solve this issue, when i click on insert image icon it shows me upload from URL and there is no option for uploading from computer.
Is any solution for that ? I am using(vBulletin 4.0.2 Patch Level 4
) version.

To upload from your computer, you will want to click the paperclip icon.Can any body help me to solve this issue, when i click on insert image icon it shows me upload from URL and there is no option for uploading from computer.
Is any solution for that ? I am using(vBulletin 4.0.2 Patch Level 4) version.

I got that paperclip icon, but why not the insert image icon working. it is working on another site , even for this site, but not working on my site. Please help me to solve this issue.Comment

I'm not sure I get this? Does this mean it's the user who enables whether they can upload from computer or not?Comment

first you have to enable; but the users can choose to disable for their account.
