  • [Forum] error logging in to admincp after upgrade to 4.0.1 from 3.8

This sucks. I just upgraded from 3.8. I have post_thanks loaded. I get the following two error messages and it won't let me login to AdminCP:

"Warning: fetch_template() calls should be replaced by the vB_Template class. Template name: post_thanks_navbar_search in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 3893"

"Unable to add cookies, header already sent.
    File: /home/vawhigso/public_html/forums/includes/class_core.php
    Line: 4501"

This is from a third party addon, specificly the post thanks addon. Disable all of your addons or use this line in the config.php define("DISABLE_HOOKS", 1); on its won line.

I tried disabling the post thanks addon but it continued to happen, so I added define("DISABLE_HOOKS", 1); to the config.php file. This stopped the errors.

How can I get post thanks working again and remove that line from my file? I tried looking at a thread, when post thanks was turned on, and it crapped out and wouldn't show me anything but the error messages. Completely unusable.

Double check that all plugins and products are disabled via Plugin Manager AND Manage Products (except Blog and CMS) then remove that line.

Next, turn on each plugin/product individually until you start getting the error again - this will let you identify which is causing the problem.

Ok, it is the Post Thanks product. This is the only product I have installed. Specifically it is the following plugins from that product:

          - global_setup_complete
          - postbit_display_complete
          - showthread_complete

He, I've got the same problem so i've added the define(DISABLE_HOOKS, 1); to the config file but my hooks are still loading and causing the same errors as reefedjib.

              Regards,

Ya, me too. When I add the 'disable_hooks' line it does nothing. But I can still disable them manually in the Product Manager.

I had this too and when I added define("DISABLE_HOOKS", 1); to the config file I did it as follows....and it worked.
