  • [CMS] Widget not showing up when logged out

I have three widgets on the right side of my cms page.
When you are logged out, only two of them work. When you are logged in, all three work.
    Please see attached

Name:	latest_posts.gif
Views:	1
Size:	9.5 KB
ID:	3714337

All three are set up the same. I have them set up as a 'general search' for the blogs, posts and articles.
Once you are logged in, it shows the "Latest Posts". I want them to also show up when you are logged out.

    Permissions are set so guests/unregistered
    Can View Forum
    Can View Thread Content
    Can View Others' Threads

Is there another setting I need to change so the widget shows the latest posts?

I also have the widget setup to go back 21 days
    along with search all forums
which these wouldn't havent anything to do with it since it does show up when logged in

    Thank you

I am pretty sure the issue with the Latest Posts is in the bug tracker already. You can do a search there and find out the status. There are also other threads about this where they discuss why Lastest Posts aren't currently being shown to guests. (There may be a fix in there too.)

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

Thanks Lynne. Looks like someone just posted a solution
Guess it makes sense if you use the General Search for the widget, guess you better make sure that particular usergroup's permissions for "Can Search Forums" is set to yes.
