  • [Forum] Safari Nav Bar Glitch -- Riddle Me This

    All right, folks.

The thread nav bar in our forums has a peculiar glitch, when displayed in Apple's Safari on the Mac or PC platforms.

As you see from the screen shot, the double arrow overlaps View First Unread.

This is symptomatic of several positioning glitches. However, it looks fine in Firefox and other browsers.

So how do we address this, since we have a high percentage of Safari users among our members??

    Peace,
    Gene

Done. Also an accompanying bug where tags flow beyond the container in Safari (and I also confirmed with Google Chrome).

These browsers both use the "webkit" rendering engine, so it won't be OS specific

Exactly. I wanted to isolate it to WebKit, which also raises the number of apps on which these problems are apt to appear.

I have a member complaining about Safari since updated to 4.0.1.
            Is this issue since 4.0.1?

I posted a bug report, but haven't had a response so far.

But I'm wondering if this bug is since 4.0.1 because my member did not have a problem with the RCs through 4.0.0.
                Only since 4.0.1.
