[CMS] Thumbnails missing on widget comments and groups

Profile thumbnails seem to be missing, as in blank, on my comments via the front page widget and on the group home page. You can see groups here. http://blogbroadway.com/group.php

this is actually an old issue that has not yet been addressed from what I have seen. Myself and others are also waiting on a response. Hopefully we will get one soon.
