[CMS] Display custom HTML on CMS home page

Hi Guys,

I am new to vBulletin suite and finding it great learning!

I would like to display a custom page on my homepage without the articles and sections.

Basically on the home page I just want 2 or 3 tables side by side with links in, and on the top of each table an add that links to a site.

I hope this makes sense.

Hi Guys, I've not had any replies. Is my question really basic? I am really sorry i have never used a CMS before so I am a bit lost. I hope my question isn't totally noobafied but I basically want my homepage to just display a few images that link to websites.

You can also create a single article in the home page, create and assign a layout with no widgets, and set the article to show the full text. Edit page, Display Full Article in Section Page.

Actually it's maybe difficult to explain what I need with my knowledge. On the home page there is a title called 'Home' just right of the sections table. well I don't want that text saying home, infact I dont want the sections area or the ability to create articles. I just want to display adds on the homepage maybe using the add manager but basically I want no sections or atricles. Is that possible? would be really weird if its not.

In AdminCP > vBulletin CMS > Layout Manager, simply remove the Section Widget from the layout you're using.

You can also edit the template to remove the reference to 'Home'.

As far as using the Ad Manager, this isn't possible at the moment, you'll need to create an article to display your ads.

If you remove the name of a section it will not let you save. I have tried that myself as I wanted to also remove the titles to see how things looked. I also was considering putting images for the titles but have not come up with a way to do either of those things.

It's moderately complex, but if I understand you....

- create a new style. Admincp > Styles & Templates, Style Manager.
- Edit that style, scroll to vBulletin CMS Templates, edit vbcms_page and remove

{vb:raw header}
{vb:raw navbar}
{vb:raw toolbar}

and save.
- Then create a one-column layout with no widgets. The documentation shows how to do that.
- Then assign that section to the home page, and assign "system default" or whatever style you'd like to the subsections.
- And follow the instructions above to have a single article in the section. That should get you to pretty much what you want. You make need to tweak a few more templates to get exactly what you want.

OK thanks guys. This seems like a very convoluted procedure to simply display a blank page on the home page which makes me think I have not explained myself correctly. Under the navibar in the space where Sections and the title Home is, I want that to just be all white. No title, no menu of the left labeled 'sections', from there I can add some articles maybe but I want to start out with a blank canvas. I removed the sections by deleting the widget but i cant get rid of the articles title

basically I dont like that big blue boarder and the title home. It doesnt allow me to have title as blank. I appreciate you need to use article in order to upload a table and images but i cant find anyway to remove the blue boarder and the title. I am constantly trying to find it now just asking here and sitting back relaxing waiting for an answer, im going through eveyrthing!
