  • [Forum] Can't upload anymore (all attachments)

    Hi

for whatever reason I can't upload files anymore. I tried different files as "normal" User and also as admin.
All I get is a little red sign that shows me that the upload failed, nothing else.

    I checked:

    Attachment permissions
    Group Permissions
    Forum Permissions
    Attachment Size
    Attachment Type
    PHP Settings

    all seems to be correct

The point is that I don't get any additional information ....

    Thanks
    Andre

    Interesting:

it doesn't work while being in the forum or in the CMS, but it DOES work being in a community group !?!?!?!?!

Did you check Usergroup Permissions (that isn''t on the list)? Is there an error in your error_logs?

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

        Hi Lynne

yes, I did (I assume you refer to the apache error_log file.)

        Nothing.
Basically, the only thing I changed is that I removed basically all permissions for the usergroups

        Unregistered / Not Logged In - -
Users Awaiting Email Confirmation - -
        Users Awaiting Moderation

I did that because I want to create a closed usergroup website

        thanks

What about the upload diagnostic in the AdminCP > Maintenance > Diagnostics > File Upload

            Hi Zachery

I checked this and it reports to be fine.
As said, I doubt it's a general filesystem or php problem, as I can e.g. change the picture of a comunity group.

            thanks

Have you checked the permissions on all of the folders and subfolders of where you're storing attachments?

                Hi Zychery

yes (think so). I mean what to check in specific? I don't get any errors in the apache error log and the Test under Maintenance in admincp works fine as well.

Also, it HAS worked. it just stopped working today. The only thing I did was to remove basically all permissions form the

Check each directory in the file system for the attachment directories, they ALL need to be 777, not just the first one.

Sure, but I'm storing attachments in the Database, not in the filesystem

Put in a support ticket, and include ftp phpmyadmin and admincp logins.
