mod or core feature in the control panel?

The control panel enables you to use a 3rd party banner serving application by entering their invocation code.

I'm using OpenX, its a bit of a pain to set up but once you get the hang of it it seems to do a very good job. When ready you generate the code, and that code is placed using the control panel on vBulletin.

Yeah the core feature on the ACP,

I understand how to set it up, but can't you just put in your own HTML in the html box, as in html to an uploaded banner ?

I can't see why this wouldn't work, but it doesn't..

I don't want them to rotate, I just want to set a banner to show up under a set forum when any member is viewing that forum.

I've tried it but nothing is displayed ?

Can someone give me a sample of the code needed in the html box..

IMHO, contrary to all the fuss, the vB4 ad config is excellent. Its confusing to those not familiar with the need of third party mods. Install openx start learning and you'll never look back. Otherwise, a simple html code like this

sly can you post screen shots and your exact code? It works great for me, I'm sure its just something you overlooked. I do know if the code isn't correct, for example the exact path to the banner image, nothing displays. Not saying that's your problem, but maybe a second set of eyes can help here.

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to this, I just hunted and pecked at it, and finally found code (copy/paste) that worked. I'm sure it could be refined by the experts, but I'm simply learning as I go along.

All right. The ads work fine. But is there a code that allows for them to rotate, or do I need OpenX or an Ad Rotator product (when a 4.0 compatible version is out). What's the story?

I tried some "array" code from the beta forums that didn't function.

i think there need to be an important clarification on what the ad mod of vb is.. its not a advertising management tool, its an ad placement tool.
you still need something like openx to setup, and manage and rotate your advertisements.. what the vB part lets you do is place these ads into your site without having to do template edits.

There are mods for prior versions of vB that also do ad rotation. I was hoping some code could shortcut this for me. I have no problem setting up OpenX, but have managed with previous versions of VB to function without.

Do not check any condition, otherwise it won't work. Already report as a bug.

Any of the vB Advertising boxes, Widgets (Static HTML) and Forum Blocks (Custom HTML/PHP, select HTML).

Yeah, I was looking at your site. I do like the way that you use the JS for your rotating banners.

I do have a couple questions for you. Since I want my banner in the same location as yours. The JS portion is not so important to me, the placement is though.

That DIV tag was added? I can't seem to figure out which template you would put it in and also under/above which line of code would be helpful.
