Album and Attachments showing as links not inline !!?!

I'm having the same problems, some images thumbnails are not generated, I've migrated from phpbb3 to vbulletin, running impex to fetch the images from the old board. Any news ? I have 40.000 images.

i am unable to get the attachment function to work correctly as well. i have everything marked correctly, but it is still not working...help

Please note that I have this issue only with the insert image function. When I use the attachment manager everything works fine, including the embedding of images.

my problem is using attachment manager, not USING image bbcode like 3.8.4

i have same problem...

a user have made a thread..and then he attached an image from his pc..
the thumbnail was well generated...but then, an user replied attaching an image too from his pc, but image is showing as attach link,

on the editor, image is visible, but not viewing the thread

is this confirmed has a bug?

Same here,

All attachments show as links unless I insert tham with the asset manager but then they are out of place and obviously not inline.

The same thing is happening to me. Most frustratingly in the Group Albums.

Try this:

- Add an image to a post as normal
- Double click on pencil and give the image an alignment and size value (even if alignment is 'none')
- Save changes
- Submit post

Does it show as an inline image now or still a link?

Trevor, the problem I am having in particular is that only SOME of the photos do not show inline. It seems to be random, I can not find anything they have in common. If I rebuild the thumbnails through the CP it corrects all the images, but new images may or may not have the problem.

I am not sure how this worked for you, what would the avatars folder have to do with inline attachments?

Trevor, thank you sir, I did check it as reproducible. Is there anything else I can do to help?

Maybe I was unclear in my list of folders ...

I changed the rights on ALL upload folders (etc avatars, profile images etc) to 777.

I had that problem but then I altered the folder rights on avatars, uploads and so to 777 and they started working.

I am not sure how this worked for you, what would the avatars folder have to do with inline attachments?
