  • [CMS] Move CMS page - Different URL.

    The current setup is we have our site split,

    URL.com with the main page and URL-forums.com for the forums.

    What we wish to do is place the CMS on the URL.com whilst keeping the forums at the -forums domain.

    Both sites are on the same dedicated server and we have full root access.

    My question, is it technically possible to do what I want? And how hard would it be?

    Many thanks

    It is possible but not a built-in functionality.
    while(true){
    if(
    $someone->needsHelp() && $i->canHelp()) $post->help();
    if(
    $i->findBug()) $post->bug();
    }

      Also, if you make this modification, which is possible, odds are future versions of Vb4.0 will break his work around.

        are you asking if you can have the cms on one url, and the forums on another?

        cms on site.com
        forums on site2.com ?
        because that's how it sounds by the way you worded that

          Any suggestions on going around doing this? While I know updates might break the workaround, If I knew how to do it again each update that wouldn't be a problem.

            Your best shot is to use rewrite rules and modify your templates to link to the correct link structure. I can't go into details as this depends on many factors such like your server set up etc.
