  • [Forum] SQL Error After Upgrade

    Hi,

    I keep getting the following error after upgrading to VB 4.0.0

    Can anybody shed any light on this? Of give any pointers on how to fix this issue?

    Code:
    Invalid SQL:

    SELECT thread.threadid
    FROM thread AS thread

    WHERE thread.forumid IN()
    AND thread.lastpost >= 1262100016
    AND thread.open <> 10
    ORDER BY thread.lastpost desc
    LIMIT 500;

    MySQL Error : You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')
    AND thread.lastpost >= 1262100016
    AND thread.open <> 10
    ORDER BY' at line 4

    Did you disable all your plugins?
    while(true){
    if(
    $someone->needsHelp() && $i->canHelp()) $post->help();
    if(
    $i->findBug()) $post->bug();
    }

      I didn't have any plugins

      Everything works fine except for this one error that keeps occurring

        Does this error only occurs when you search? did you rebuild the search index?
        while(true){
        if(
        $someone->needsHelp() && $i->canHelp()) $post->help();
        if(
        $i->findBug()) $post->bug();
        }

          The error is always the same, relating to search

          No I have not rebuilt the search index, would that matter? would it fix this error?

            You have to rebuild your search index after upgrading. I am not sure if it will fix the problem, but give it a try.
            while(true){
            if(
            $someone->needsHelp() && $i->canHelp()) $post->help();
            if(
            $i->findBug()) $post->bug();
            }

              OK, have rebuilt the search index - will post back if the error persists.

              Thanks for your assistance Dody, it is much appreciated

                      Maybe you need to pay someone that knows vb a little better than you do to fix this for you

                        Pardon?

                        I suppose you mean you right?

                        I do not need to pay anyone, besides which we have paid for our license and support.

                        I am asking here on the forum because a. someone may know how to fix this. b. it will help others searching for a fix for the same problem. After all that is what a community forum is all about, members helping other members.

                          No, i did not mean me at all. Really do not have time for issues as this. However it would be better for you though it seems to maybe go over to vbulletin.org and pay someone over there, someone that could help you and understands mysql and the coding a little bit better. Good Luck.
