  • [CMS] CMS Front Page Setup help!

Alright guys, I'm about up to my eyeballs in var hunting in getting VB4 setup. Maybe my brain is fried but I'm trying to get the "Front Page" set up and notice that any CMSvar changes don't register on the Front Page. If I click to an article FROM the front page, it looks fine (matching the changes/style of the forum) but I can't find any way to actually change the front page.

Am I missing something here or what??? I don't see any Vars for the front page or even a way to point the title image to a new file/location.

This is what it looks like. Totally stock except for the title image which I resaved and renamed as the stock vbulletin4 image.

This is basically what it should look like (style MCMv2):

Just to vent a little...this software should have been released 6 months from now WITH proper documentation. Wholesale dumping the responsibility of developing and troubleshooting the new product onto customers and users is trashy at best. They must have REALLY needed the Christmas money or something.

Anyway, much thanks in advance everyone. I'd like to double thank all the folks that spend so much time on here solving other people problems and sharing their solutions!

    See you on the FlipSide-Out,

Have you changed the default theme for the CMS by editing the home page section?
    Vote for:

    - *Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe*
*PM - Add ability to reply to originator only*
    - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s)
    - "Quick Route" Interface...

Thanks for the quick reply. All I know at this point is the front page style selector says "MCMv2" on the bottom which is correct. When I change/select a different style in the selector nothing changes anyway so I"m not sure what's going on.

If there is a specific area to edit the home/front page I have no idea what/where it is. I've searched through the vars and can't find anything so please point me in the correct direction if I'm missing something.

click on the pencil close to your front page title and then click on "inherite style" ;-)
The lack of a vB4 manual is bad, I agree
