[Forum] Search Function Buggy

I find the search function is VERY user "unfriendly".


Old v3.x.x you could Search Forums and specify to:

• Show Threads
• Show Posts

This worked very well and in no time at all.

v4.0 makes you search for the word you are looking for, then provides a list of forums containing the word. You must then enter a thread and then once more search again for the word and this time it will return posts within the thread that contain the search word. You must then repeat in every forum. This is bad.

Searching for keywords now takes forever. This increases the difficulty of administrating the site.
Can this be fixed in an upcoming maintenance release?

When on the search page, look to the right for the button, "Search by Type." Click there. That gives you more options, including the ability to return results by posts.

Took me a while to find this.

When the list of threads is displayed, click to go to the "last" user's post -- the double-right-arrow icon beside the user's name in the "Last post by" column.
