[Suite] What’s the best way to add PHP 5.6 in plesk obsidian on Ubuntu LTS 20.04

Hi All:

I just recently got hold of 3 plesk servers running plesk obsidian, unfortunately for me pho 5 does not exist so I’m curious what steps are necessary?

considering my plesk servers are running apache 2 what options need to be passed to configure to ensure all features of vbulletin run correctly? I come from cpanel where this makes a lot more sense? Does anyone know plesk and could help?

since I have built entire medical solutions using vbulletin suite to allow my doctors and care providers to connect, collaborate, and share I’m not all that interested in moving to vB 5.x. So my only option is to run older PHP versions to support this legacy system.

It would probably be better to use PHP 7.1 and use vBulletin 4.2.5.

With vBulletin 4.2.5, you need to make sure that iconv, mysql_nd, and mysqli are enabled in PHP. I believe those are the only modules not enabled by default.

thanks for the reply, some of my mods aren’t PHP 7 compatible so I might try the latest PHP 5.6.x
