I am trying to configure my Vbulletin for Dreamhost and am getting this error.
Due to the following errors, the install/upgrade can not continue:
The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please confirm the values entered in the includes/config.php file
Error description: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'VC'@'ds3057.dreamservers.com' (using password: YES) /home/VC/VC.com/includes/class_core.php on line 317
I corrected the database username in the config.php file which was
contained some uppercase letters.
Now the software is complaining about /includes/class_bootstrap.php which
does not exist:
Warning: require_once(./includes/class_bootstrap.php)
[function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory
in /home/vampyrealmanac/vampyrealmanac.com/global.php on line 15
You might try uploading the file OR the entire includes folder again.
