[Forum] install.php fails during setup

Whilst upgrading from vbulletinsuite_4-1-12_Patch_Level_1_VBS7453B5B to vbulletinsuite_4-2-0_Patch_Level_2_VBS7453B5B I get the following error and upgrading fails:


Unexpected Text:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252"?>
Fatal error: Class 'vB_ActivityStream_Manage' not found in /var/www/html/install/includes/class_upgrade_420a1.php on line 600

Has anyone else had a similar problem or even know how to fix this. The problem seems to occur after The Activity Option Screen.

I am running Fedora and Apache and previous upgrades have worked without a problem. I also:

Disabled from the config.php file: define("DISABLE_HOOKS",1);

Disabled from the AdminCP: AdminCP > Settings > Options > Plugin/Hook System

Disabled one by one via the Product Manager: AdminCP > Plugins & Products > Manage Products

Did you upload/overwrite all the files properly?

Make sure that the vb/activitystream/manage.php file has been uploaded to your server and is readable by PHP.

Just took your advice and did it properly and it all works fine now. Thank you for the advice.
