    I ran it multiple times with the same result, but I see nothing funny about line 166 or 8 on that file.

    any ideas?

        yes mods/plugins disabled. Every time I run the script it goes and stops with the same error, but in a dif place.

          Try reverting your style(s) before upgrading and see if that helps

            Personally I have never come across this kind of error. Have you considered to open a ticket at your customers desk so one of the vb staff can investigate this further?

            P.s. Is there any particular reason that you are upgrading to vb 4.1.7 and not the latest version, which is highly recommended btw?

              This looks like it is being caused by a broken template, though I am not sure why the upgrade script is trying to render a template.

              And I have to ask as well, why you are upgrading to 4.1.7 instead of 4.1.12 or 4.2.0?
