    [Suite] CMS gone after upgrade

I upgraded to 4.2 and now the CMS part is gone. What happened?

Okay, I think I found the CMS but links to Home and Blogs are gone in the navbar. How do I get them back?

Settings -> Navigation Manager -> Make sure the desired tabs are enabled/active.

      They are.

In Navigation Manager, I have the following tabs, which are active: Articles, Forum, Blogs, What's New

On my site, these tabs are showing in the navigation menu: Forum, Gallery, Videos, What's New, Glossary

      (Gallery=vBGallery, Videos=8link mod, Glossary=static CMS page)

I find it strange that mods menu links survived the upgrade but not items that are part of vB. ????

        Try reverting the navbar template.

Styles and Templates -> Style Manager -> Edit Templates (for your respective theme) -> Navigation/Breadcrumb Templates -> navbar -> Revert

Before I do that I just want to make sure it doesn't screw up my style. I'm using a custom style. ??

I'd recommend creating a test site first, or you can export/download your theme first in case anything happens. While the revert shouldn't hurt anything, there's always a chance that an issue occurs.

Yes, you'll need to revert your navbar template as it was customized in a version before the navigation manager was introduced. After you revert it, you'll need to re-do any edits as necessary. Make a backup of the template before you revert it so you have the old version as a reference.

Thanks, that fixed it but now the vBGallery menu item is missing.

You can recreate the tab and/or verify its enabled/active using the Navigation Manager.

                  Settings -> Navigation Manager

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I have one more problem.

All the CMS and forum tabs work fine in the navbar now.....except for when navigating out of the vBGallery.

The Gallery is installed in a separate directory (../Gallery/). When in the Gallery and navigating to another page, such as forum.php, the browser sends me to ../Gallery/forum.php instead of ../forum.php

                    How can I fix that?

Try setting the forum tab to /forum.php. Let me know of that helps.

I think that fixed it. :-) Thanks!

Ok, one last question: When I'm in the Gallery, the Forum tab is shows as active and not the Gallery tab. How do I fix that?

In the Navigation Manager, for the gallery tab, make sure Append tabid is set to yes.
