    [Forum] Recently updated... when trying to login to admin panel... gets stuck in "loop"

    Hi there -

    I'm creating a new thread, since this is a new issue.

    I've just updated our site to v 4.0.6 and every time I try to login to the admin control panel, it goes to the page below... but then it redirects me right back to the login page.

    I tried clicking on the link that says, "Click here if your browser does not automatically redirect you." -- but it takes me right back to that login page, as well.

    Is there another way I can get into my admin panel? I have FTP access -- is there a file I can edit to fix this?

    Does this happen in all browsers? Could be a cookie issue.

    Is there a reason you've upgraded to an old, unsupported version rather than 4.2.0?

      Holy cow! That was it! I just tried it in Chrome, and it worked fine. THANK YOU!!

      We were actually at an OLDER version... I'm trying to get it up to 4.2.0, but it's taking awhile. Very long story. Includes hundreds of dollars of tech support to get rid of a malware hack... lots of frustration.

      Anyway, THANK YOU. You've just helped me a great deal!

          Note that if this ends up happening in both browsers, upload tools.php to the admincp folder and the install folder and then enter tools.php via /admincp/tools.php. (Note: you'll need your customer number to access).

          Then, click Reset Cookie Domain and Reset Cookie Path. After that, you can delete the install folder and the tools.php file and the issue should be fixed for all browsers.
