    MySQL Error : Table './dsdataba_vb1/cache' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
    You have a table in your database marked as crashed so you should repair your database ... Try

    Admincp > Maintenance > Repair / Optimize Tables

    1. To fix this run Repair/Optimize in the Admin CP. You may need to run it more than once to fix all errors:

    Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Repair/Optimize Tables -> Check All -> Continue

    If you cannot access the Admin CP you can also use phpMyAdmin to repair tables.

    If that doesn't work then this may be too damaged to fix with the normal methods. Please check out this thread for other ways to repair a db, particularly items #2 and 3:

    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...threadid=44909

    You may have to ask your host to try and repair this for you.

    2. This may be a memory limit. You can disable the memory limit by editing your includes/config.php file and add this line right under <?php:

    ini_set('memory_limit', -1);

  • Upgrading to 4.1.2 - Server returned no response

    This morning my whole CMS front page was down, I'd just keep getting a Database Error. Every time I booted up, I'd get:

    Database error in vBulletin 4.1.2:

    Invalid SQL:

    SELECT data, expires, locktime, serialized
    FROM cache
    WHERE cacheid = 'vbcms_item_1_data';

    MySQL Error : Table './dsdataba_vb1/cache' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
    Error Number : 145
    Request Date : Tuesday, March 29th 2011 @ 12:35:01 PM
    Error Date : Tuesday, March 29th 2011 @ 12:35:02 PM
    Script : http://dsdatabase.org/
    Referrer :
    IP Address : 206.116.102.172
    Username : PharaohsVizier
    Classname : vB_Database
    MySQL Version : 5.1.52
    So with my infinite wisdom, I decided to take this time to update my vBulletin and hopefully that'll solve everything. Basically I hit the CMS step 19 out of 20 and then I get this error:

    Action Required

    The server returned no response. This is probably due to a timeout setting. Please contact vBulletin Support for assistance
    Now I'm completely stuck with a broken board. I've browsed around, and this is what I've done so far:

    1. Downloaded and uploaded the upgrade files again
    2. Retry, retry, retry
    3. Contacted my host to increase my max_timeout_connections

    So.... I'm sort of stuck. If someone could help, I'll be very very grateful.
