[Suite] Upgrade Mod 3.8 forum to stock 4 Suite?

I am running a 3.8 forum with a heap of mods and template edits. I want to upgrade to stock standard v4 suite and dump all the mods and template changes.

Is there things I can do before the upgrade to achieve this or do I just upgrade and try and sort it out?

Your custom templates won't be compatible with vB4 anyway so that is not an issue. The best thing to do is to either disable or remove your add-ons, then upgrade normally.
