[Suite] Am I supposed to overwrite all of the old files?

How will that keep my members, forums, posts, etc? Will it not get rid of all that?

Members, forums, posts, settings, data from your forum, is kept in your database. The only stuff not kept in there are attachments/avatars IF you changed the default setting which stores them in the database.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

But beware upgrading can play havoc with any customised templates you may have don to change the look of your forum. For this reason I make a copy of the full forum directory and ugrade to that, ALWAYS with a copy of the database. (This means of course it's necessary to shut down the forum while upgrading or posts to the old database will be lost when you go live and switch to new upgraded database. It sometimes takes me one or two practice runs in case I have to do a lot of work on my customised styles.

I'm just wrapping it up (actually been wrapped up but tweaking) and it went great. A few template coloration issues to try and match the old style and -of course- I will miss some of the hacks. Where can I post some code that someone can convert to the new language for me? I tried it myself but...............

If you need modifications/hacked code updated, you should post over at www.vbulletin.org.
