also, i have now access only to vb4.0.2 pl2 because my license expired in march 2010. So i cant not download 4.0.7. So what i want to do is install vb4.0.2 pl2 and upgrade later. (becaus of my budget right now) or wait until i can buy the last version of vb 4?
thank you -
You can either upgrade now or later, it's up to you. Personally, I'd wait until you can upgrade directly to the latest version.
Are you only looking to upgrade with the users? You don't want threads/posts?Comment

You can use Impex to import the user data. You would have to also import the usergroups. Please read the online Impex import instructions here:

Beginning with vB4 there is no longer any expiration date or annual renewal on licenses. Once you purchase a license you will have the right to download and use all new versions of vB4 for life.
There will be a charge to upgrade to major versions, i.e., vB5.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

No, as I said there is no expiry date for vB4 licenses. You can upgrade to all 4.x versions for free. Major versions, such as vB5, will have an as yet undetermined upgrade cost.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)
