    Hi Trevor,

    I've opened a ticket with all required information. I've restored files and db so that you can see the effect like I did.

    Kind regards
    jluerken

    I re-downloaded the file and did like you said. I am still getting the error. Step 5/9 the process is installing the blog-product and then I get the error.
    I do not see one step where he is even trying to install the cms-product. Which step should this be?

    Sounds like something's gotten corrupted somewhere.

    Can you try re-downloading the ZIP file from the Members Area and re-upload all files (except install/install.php and includes/config.php.new) making sure you overwrite all files currently on your server. Now re-run the upgrade system.

    Does this resolve the problem?

    I restored the database, copied the files again and I still run in the same issue. I do not see a step where he is even trying to install the product-vbcms.xml file

    Yes it is and has the correct size.
    During the update process I could see the blog product was installed but I did not see that an upgrade step was trying to install the cms product.

    Hi Trevor,

    that does not work. If I check the database I see that there was no CMS_whatever table was created during the update process so I guess there is something general missing in the upgrade.php scripts.
    If I add this table he is asking for the next which is not there also:
    Database error in vBulletin 4.0.7:

    Invalid SQL:
    ALTER TABLE vb305_cms_article ADD previewvideo TEXT NULL DEFAULT NULL;

    MySQL Error : Table 'db.vb305_cms_article' doesn't exist

    You could create the table manually however it could be that there will be others if that one hasn't accepted properly.

    To create this table manuall, run the following queries in phpMyAdmin:

    Code:
        CREATE TABLE vb305_cms_widget (
            widgetid INT UNSIGNED NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
            varname VARBINARY(50) NOT NULL,
            widgettypeid INT NOT NULL,
            title VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL,
            description MEDIUMTEXT DEFAULT '',
            PRIMARY KEY  (widgetid),
            UNIQUE KEY title(title),
            KEY widgettypeid (widgettypeid)
        )
    and

    Code:
        REPLACE INTO vb305_cms_widget
            (widgetid, varname, widgettypeid, title, description)
        VALUES
            (1, 'site_navigation', 1, 'Menu', 'Displays site structure')

    Update DB Error step 6/9 vb385 to vb407

    Hi,

    just testing to update our testboard from vb3.8.5 to 4.0.7 and I am getting the following DB error when nearly done in the upgrade process

    Database error in vBulletin 4.0.7:

    Invalid SQL:
    ALTER TABLE vb305_cms_widget DROP INDEX title, ADD INDEX title(title);

    MySQL Error : Table 'db.vb305_cms_widget' doesn't exist
    Error Number : 1146
    Request Date : Thursday, September 16th 2010 @ 08:59:59 AM
    Error Date : Thursday, September 16th 2010 @ 08:59:59 AM
    Script : http://subdomain.tld.com/forum/insta...ade.php?step=6
    Referrer : http://subdomain.tld.com/forum/insta...ade.php?step=5
    Classname : vB_Database
    MySQL Version : 5.1.45-log
    It looks like the update process has forgotten to create tables.
    How can I fix this?

    Kind regards
    jluerken
