  • [Suite] How to install the VB Suite if I have Joomla in root?

How can I install the vbulletin suite if I am running Joomla in the main root of the domain?

Do I still place all the vbulletin files in root along with Joomla or am I required to create a new directory? We still want to be able to use the blogs/forum from the suite.

I know there is a bride were going to use, jfusion, but just curious on this next step thanks.

You need to put it in it's own folder. Typically forum/

Well the thing is, my site is currently running Vbulletin Suite and its in root - so would I have to move it to /forum then? Or should I create its own folder for Joomla? I need Joomla to be the homepage for now on.

You might have better luck asking over at Joomla. I think Joomla will have to be in a different directory (whether root or otherwise).

move things to the forum directory, down from the root and then install joomla in the root, if you don't want to use the cms of vbulletin, then just disable it, and use the forum instead, that is exactly how my system works. Joomla in the root, forum suite is in the forum directory.

You will of course need to change all the links to include the /forum otherwise it will not work, obviously.
          Thanks,

          Peter
