I am trialling an upgrade currently from vb 3.8.x to VB 4.1.0 beta. I got this exact same error at the same stage in the update process.

An error has occurred with your database. Please contact vBulletin Support for assistance.

    Module: 404, Step 22 Database Error:1064

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'UPDATEvb3_setting SET value = 3 WHERE varname = 'viewattachedimages'' at line 1

    Query:

    UPDATEvb3_setting SET value = 3 WHERE varname = 'viewattachedimages'

Ahhh, jumped the gun. RSS robot still doesn't work. There's always hope for vb5.0.0 I guess.

Thank you so much! This was a lot clearer to me! I appreciate your help, as I had read through the whole thread. It's nice when other forum administrators are kind and helpful to others here, as opposed to being rude. =)

    Thanks!

Also if you could, can you vote and comment in the bug tracker also?

Maybe that'll get some answers (when vb will fix this permanently- 4.0.5 or sooner?)

    thanks

Unless AIVincent tried the fix and it didn't work.

Also, every time I run an update all my ads vanish until I go in an edit/save them one by one. Slightly annoying.
