I currently am running my site on the most recent version of VB3.8_ and Ive purchaced the suite. Before I make the big jump I want to set the site up as ****/forum2 and get all the colors and modifications including graphics and all done then I will move over to the suite once its all running fine. My site currently has alot of custom work and I know alot will dissapear when moving as the mods are not all available on VB_.org . I will copy my current data base and convert it and see how it works in the background get it all right and once its all set up I will to the tranfer. Can I use the same database at the same time or do I have to copy it and utilize that? Ive been told by designers to hold off for a while, but my site is 3 1/2 years old now and I think its time for some changes, there saying theres still alot of bugs in this version.
