  • [Forum] upgrade_403.php?step=1 is running for 3 hours

I am upgrading 3.8.4 forum with about 2m posts and 25k users to 4.0.3pl1 and upgrade_403.php?step=1 is running for 3 hours already. Is this normal?

I checked the code and the last and probably the most time consuming operation on this step is this:
    Code:
    "ALTER TABLE " . TABLE_PREFIX . "user MODIFY salt CHAR(30) NOT NULL DEFAULT ''"
I checked the database (through phpmyadmin) and it shows that salt field is 30 chars long. Is this a good indication that this step is finished and the browser just timed out? Can I just manually switch to upgrade_403.php?step=2 now?

Try refreshing the screen and see if that helps.

does not rotate three hours, they break the server connection.
      Give refresh and continue.
For sure you check with PhpMYadmin or similar program processes on table.
for 2M posts about an hour.
