For a Manual go here :

Also, all the questions related to the conversion should be posted at the Impex forum.

The problem im having is, VB is set up on a different server now. and i dont know where to find impex inside of vb
You lost me, are you switching servers? If vb is installed at a different server, all you have to do is move your smf files+database at the same server where vb is and start with the conversion.
You can download the Impex system at your customer area.

o.b. - I feel your pain.
I am not trying to migrate sites, just installing new.
I found a host who did my vbulletin upload FREE!
Thank you all, found that host on this forum.
Okay. I am making some progress.
This is fun.
Frustrating, but I like to learn new stuff.
Now I am at the point where I want to customize my index.html - home page.
I remembered reading in the installation manual about how to customize the home page, so the first thing you don't see is the forum.
But of course now, I can't find it and I'm losing my patience.
Can you guys tell me how to customize the index.html file with my own stuff, and then have a link to the forum?
THANK YOU!

Thanks for responding borbole. Here is a link to the error page. It is on the very first page when I type in my URL: http://beingmiddleclass.org/
One other question (and maybe related to the first question about the error page), I am trying to customize my home page. I am attaching a screen shot of my home page.
How do I add my logo, a welcome message?
Thanks for helping the newbie.

For the first issue, as I suspected it is a permission one. Go to the Acp-Usergroups-Guests-Unregistered / Not Logged In-Edit Usergroup and under the setting: Forum Viewing Permissions you will see an option that says: Can View Forum. Set this to Yes, save the changes and you should be all set. That was to allow the guests to view the forum. Repeat the procedure with the other Groups that have problems viewing the forum.
For the second issue, for your logo you should check out the titleimage stylevar at the Styles & Templates in your Acp. Whereas for the welcome message, you can do so at the Notices in your Acp. Hope it helps.
