Can i upgrade from 3.8.1 Version...? And how....?

Yes, you can.

The upgrade instructions in the vB3 manual are still current. The upgrade script will walk through all upgrade steps through from 3.8.1 to 4.0 Patch Level 1. Remember to make a backup of your Database before attempting any upgrade.

Not specifically although we do suggest it for those upgrading from 3.7.x and below...

vB4 is not compatible with 3.8 styles. vB4 is not compatible with almost all vB3.8 modifications. Disable all plugins by inserting

 define("DISABLE_HOOKS", true); 

to includes/config.php and give it try.

Go into Style Manager and delete all incompatible styles so that only the vB4 style remains. Then, disable all products and plugins except the CMS and Blog if you have installed the Suite.
