I'm running 3.8.7 Patch Level 4and the board says there's an update to 3.8.8, fine not a problem but the link directs to a thread completely unrelated to the latest version and what the bug fixes are. Why do this?

      Hello

      This is the release thread:
      http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum...ctive-licenses

vBulletin 3.8.8 only adds php 5.4 compatibility. There are no bug fixes or new features.
3.8.9 (currently in beta) adds php 5.5 compatibility, but again there are no bug fixes or new features.

I do see the error - the link is to
        Code:

Yes it is a bug- it may be due to VB 3.8.x being so old it isn't compatible with the newer URLs being used on vb.com. I will enter it as a bug, not sure if anything can/would be done, 3.8.8 is already out and it wasn't fixed in that.

3.8.9 is only going to be PHP fixes in all likelihood. - http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIII-12963
