  • Issue with 3.8.2 SQL database & pluginlist

Hi. I run a forum called

Out of nowhere from sometime last week I continue to get these error messages from the forum.
    Database error in vBulletin 3.8.2:

    Invalid SQL:
    SELECT * FROM forumdatastore WHERE title='pluginlist';

    MySQL Error :
    Error Number :
    Request Date : Tuesday, January 31st 2012 @ 03:00:23 PM
    Error Date : Tuesday, January 31st 2012 @ 03:00:24 PM
    Script :
    Referrer :
    IP Address :
    Username : Fabian
    Classname : vB_Database
    MySQL Version :

But this only happens to registered users when they are logged in.

I have checked with the hosting company and they can not help me further.

This was their last valueable response:
"I ran the query SELECT * FROM forumdatastore WHERE title='pluginlist'; and I can confirm that the output doesn't seem to be correct. It only returns one row and the row that's returned seems to be containing PHP code. Can you please check with the developers of this script and see what this table should contain or at least what should be returned when running this query ?"

    Any ideas? Thanks a million.......

That field should contain php - it is all of your plugins. Try going to your plugin manager page and edit any plugin and save it. That should rebuild that row in the database. See if that fixes the issue.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

I believe this is due to (or the after effects of) the vbseo exploit.

You can rebuild that datastore entry by editing one of your plugins and saving under Plugins / Products -> Plugin Manager. Don't have to actually edit anything. Open a plugin for editing, click save at the bottom.
