vB uses the server for it's email. Assuming you have not disabled emails in the Admin CP or in config.php, then if there are problems the issue is either with the server itself or on the receiving end.

I originally set up the forum to use email confirmation for new users' registration... It worked fine for the first couple of days, and then I started catching on, to that users were not getting their registration emails...<-- and that the whole email system was broke(notifications/subscriptions..etc)...

I have the forum setup as default(as far as mail stuff) and to use it's own email system....

Can anyone give me any pointers on how this system works? Where to look for troubleshooting? What is needed(if anything) from my hosted VPS(Linux)?
