I have several users that have never received any infractions, yet when they tried to log in, they received a message telling them that they have been banned permanently.

In the banned users list, it shows that each of these users were banned by themselves. When I look at their profiles in the AdminCP, they show up as "Users Awaiting Email Confirmation."

A few months ago I required all new registrations to confirm their email addresses. That's the only thing I can think of that caused this problem, but I would have expected it to be more widespread if that were the case.

Could this be caused by people changing their email addresses after the email confirmation change?
