Delete Member oddity

I deleted a few members in the CP and was told that all posts of said members would appear as "Guest". That didn't happen, instead they kept their names (but lost formatting) and title was changed to "Lurker". Any ideas what's going on? The lurker thing I may or may not have done myself somehow (can't remember, but it would be typical of me while fiddling with the software), but keeping their names is odd. Take a look.

The usergroup is changed to Guest (Unregistered), not the username.
