You should only have the hour value set to something and one of the minute fields set to a number. The rest should read '-'

Think I found the problem, it was set to run at hour 16 but minute was ** so I'm assuming it was ignoring a preset minute and just running every minute? I change dit to minute 00 that should work yes?

Your subscriptions task is running every minute or two - change this in AdminCP > Scheduled Tasks > Scheduled Task Manager to run once a day...

Can you check your Scheduled Task log and look in particular for the 'Subscriptions' scheduled task - did this only run once or several times on the day in question?

It's this task which kicks off the mailing - provided only one record exists in the database for that user, there should only be one mail sent

Yes, and my hosting company is saying the same thing they are flagged as spam because of this.

Are these users saying that they're receiving multiple copies of the same email?

started a topic Paid Subscription Expire Email Spam

    Paid Subscription Expire Email Spam

Whenever a user has an expiring subscription on my website it sends them out hundreds and hundreds of emails instead of just one... can anyone help me on this problem because I am now under investigation for breaking my hosting ToS regarding a 500 email limit per hour (a few users had expiring subscriptions today and over 3000 emails were sent out!).

This is not good at all and I can only hope my hosting company are understanding of this which is obviously a horrible bug in the software.

    I am using v3.8.6
widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
Working...
