OK I went to my PHPadmin and did repair on cron and it said all is repaired and up to date etc, but then it appears to have crashed immediately.

Am I able to create a new database and swap them? Would this work?

Ok thank you, I will do that..I just did it once and I am getting all "OK" and "Table is already up to date" and one "Error: Table upgrade required. Please do "REPAIR TABLE `cron`" to fix it!" which is what I have been getting for weeks now. Will it eventually resolve the more times I run Optimise and Repair?

That is an entirely different error. To fix this run Repair/Optimize in the Admin CP. You may need to run it more than once to fix all errors:

    Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Repair/Optimize Tables -> Check All -> Continue

If you cannot access the Admin CP you can also use phpMyAdmin to repair tables.

If that doesn't work then this may be too damaged to fix with the normal methods. Please check out this thread for other ways to repair a db, particularly items #2 and 3:

    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...threadid=44909

You may have to ask your host to try and repair this for you.

Do you have a new error now? If so, what is the latest error? Your previous error was for 3.8.3 and you are running 3.8.5.

Invalis SQL error really are from modifications. And your site does look highly modified.

What are the results of Suspect Files and can you enable the style I asked you to create to troubleshoot this?

Ok I still have the same problem. I did everything as you said, I even uninstalled ALL plugins. Do I need to delete all the files that came up in the Suspect File Versions?

OK thanks, I will try that, so thats ALL the vBulletin non-image files exept the install file, or just those in the 'upload' folder not the subfolders?

Invalid SQL errors are almost always related to modified code.

To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

    Next, disable all products:

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Disable

Then manually uncheck all plugins that are not for 'vBulletin Blog' and vBulletin CMS' here:

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it.

Do you have the same problem?
