  • Main ADMIN demoted by a vB Mod...

Well guys, for some reason, I tried this modification, and... it demoted me, the only super admin to a different rank. This means I can't log into the admincp. My config file also has the lock where my account details couldn't be changed... I don't know what to do now. Help!

To restore your Admin status, download the vB zip file for your version, then extract the 'tools.php' script from the 'do_not_upload' folder. Then upload this file to your Admin CP directory and run it from your browser. Use the appropriate option to promote your user to Admin using this option:

    [Reset Admin Access]

    Then immediately remove this script.

Err, I got this error when I ran it in my browser.

Warning: require_once(./install/init.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/warrier/public_html/forum/admincp/tools.php on line 43

Make sure you have the init.php file in the install folder then try again.
