    I'm on vb 3.8.6. I am having an issue with my collapse buttons. Those small tabs that you click on to make a category collapse or open? My tabs seem to be missing. Across from STRICTLY HORROR, there should be a collapse tab. Across from THINGS NOT RELATED TO HORROR, there should be a collapse tab, and on and on. But there isn't. Not exactly sure what happened to them. But how can I fix this issue? Also, when someone clicks on STRICTLY HORROR or THINGS NOT RELATED TO HORROR, it should take them to a listing of boards within that category. But instead, it just takes them to an empty page. How can this be fixed?

    I also want to add more space between my sidebar and my board. I want to keep my sidebar but don't want my board to look scrunched up. I am trying to do something like this...(EXAMPLE:http://www.talk-movies.com/) Where the board is stretched out enough but the sidebar is also visible.

    You have a custom skin and it looks like they took out the collapse buttons. You'll have to ask the designer to add them back in, or edit the template, compare it to the default template, and copy the code back in.

    As for the missing forumdisplays.... Create a new style with no parent:
    • Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
    • Parent Style: No Parent Style
    • Title: Default vBulletin
    • Allow User Selection: Yes
    • Save

    Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

    The sidebar is custom. You will have to ask the designer for help getting the spacing how you want it.

    Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

    If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

      I am not using a skin I got from somewhere else. All I did with my forum really once I downloaded vbulletin 3.8.6 was use images for the .maintitle and .titlemedium instead of colors. And change a bunch of the colors, and replaced the images for old posts and new posts. I don't see how that could've all of a sudden deleted the collapse buttons. Is there any way I can re-add them with a code or edit or something? Like some piece of html?

        I didn't say edit the php code, I said compare your template to the default template and add back in the code (html) that is missing for the collapse buttons.

          Okay if I did that would it also help with the forum category issue?

            That is the issue I was talking about. That code IS in the default template. I can't check your page to see exactly what is in your source code since your site seems to be down.

              Okay our forum is back up now, server maintenance. Here's the code to the forumbit where the collapse category images would be located.

              Code:
              <if condition="!$show['collapsable_forums']">
              <tbody>
              </if>
               <tr>
                <td class="tcat" colspan="<if condition="$vboptions[showmoderatorcolumn]">6<else />5</if>">
                 <if condition="$childforumbits">
                 <a style="float:$stylevar[right]" href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('forumbit_$forumid')"><img id="collapseimg_forumbit_$forumid" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/collapse_tcat{$collapseimg_forumid}.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a>
                 </if>
                 <a href="forumdisplay.php?$session[sessionurl]f=$forum[forumid]">$forum[title]</a>
                 <if condition="$show['forumdescription']"><div class="smallfont">$forum[description]</div></if>
                 <if condition="$show['subforums']"><div class="smallfont"><strong>$vbphrase[subforums]</strong>: $forum[subforums]</div></if>
                </td>
               </tr>
              <if condition="!$show['collapsable_forums']">
              </tbody>
              </if>
              <if condition="$childforumbits">
              <if condition="!$show['collapsable_forums']">
              <tbody id="collapseobj_forumbit_$forumid" style="{$collapseobj_forumid}">
              </if>
              $childforumbits
              <if condition="!$show['collapsable_forums']">
              </tbody>
              </if>
              </if>

              Anything look off to you?

                The reason you have no collapse button is your forums are not setup correctly.

                You currently have the following forumlist setup:

                Category
                forum
                forum
                forum
                Category
                forum
                forum
                forum

                See here: http://hmandsforums.oliwy.net/forums...splay.php?&f=1 compared to what we have : http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum...-Announcements

                For collapse buttons, each of the forums under the category need to be assigned to have the category as the parrent forum.

                So in the end you forums should look like:

                category
                -subforum
                -subforum
                -subforum
                category
                -subforum
                -subforum
                -subforum

                        Okay that worked about 85%, but the sub-forum links displayed on the forum home page, underneath a few of my forums, are now gone.
