Problem with installing

Okay so I've done the rename config php thing, I've edited the config php file, I've used smart ftp to upload my upload folder to my ftp filemanager. Now, I need help with this installer script.

The Installer runs as a PHP script using your web browser. To start the installation process, open your browser and type the HTTP address of your forums directory, followed by /install/install.php, then hit the <Enter> key or press the [Go] button to open the script.


How do I do this exactly? I've tried, but keep getting sent to webassist.com or a 404 error.

What is the URL to your site and which directory did you install vB to?

My bytehost domain url is http://hmandsforums.byethost8.com The directory I uploaded it to was /htdocs.

And where did you install vBulletin exactly?

I didn't install it exactly, because I can't because I need the install php script. Here's a screencap to clear things up...

Circled in red is the upload folder which I uploaded to my ftp file manager. I renamed it like the directions said also.

Have you tried uploading the files to the directory that says 'files for hmandsforums.byethost8.com should be uploaded here!'?

You need to take the time to edit your config file.

No worries now! I figured it out correctly this morning. My host had to put my mysql online. I'm good to go now!
