Promotions Not Promoting

I've never had to use promotions before, but now I have a particular issue that requires me to promote users.

I set up a promotion from X type of user to Y type, based on achieving 10 posts. I'm testing with a test account that I've used since day one, and my regular account.

Both accounts have well over 10 posts.

I've run the promotions job from the RUN NOW button on the scheduled task menu... nothing. Nothing in the log showing that anyone was promoted. I read somewhere in searching for answers that the user had to post before the promotion was completed. So I went and posted on the boards with both accounts.

No promotion.

I ran the job again from the task menu. I tried setting it up so the task ran every 10 minutes figuring it would catch them at some point. I posted and posted with both accounts. No promotion. I though it might take a couple of hours for vBulletin to think it through, so I waited 2 hours. No promotion.

I have a bad feeling that promotions only work on new accounts that will be promoted once the requirements are met, and that existing accounts which met the requirements ages ago will be bypassed...

Can anyone confirm this is the case? If so, I'll need another solution. Thanks!

Can you post the exact setting you have for this promotion?

Yes, it does work with existing accounts. I've been using this for years.

Dunno, but first step is to disable all of your addons.

Oooh boy, I don't want to do that on a live forum. Some of those mods are keeping the forum safe... some of them are keeping ME safe... hahah...

Can you suggest which mod(s) are more likely to be the culprit? I can start with that/those first...

Ok I manned up and turned them ALL off. Then ran the promotion task at the scheduled task page. Then checked the log - no promotions. There should have been 3 accounts promoted.

I even posted in the forum just in case. With all three accounts. No promotions.

I'm at a complete loss...
