  • users payed for subscriptions but its not reflected in Vb

I have users that subscribe and their paypal accounts are debited. BUT VB does not reflect that they subscribed. Any idea what the issue could be?

Have you ensured that they are moved / promoted to your new usergroup paid members go to? Check each subscription option to enable that option.

it worked fine for about 2 years then it just stopped working properly. they are not being promoted that's the thing

i had a user who was paying montly and they were removed from the usergroup but paypal still took their money. so i had to manually add them back
but it doesn't show them as an active subscriber in the logs. so now i have to keep an eye on paypal to make sure people are paying.

any help from the mods would be appreciated

happeed again recently, paypal accepted their subscription and deducted payment from their account. waited a day and vb still did not put them in the correct usergroup

so i had to put them in manualy. but this defeats the purpose. ow they can cancel their subscription and i would not know unless i checked montly. i can not do this for every user that subscrbes

This does work fine with the default vB code and no add-ons. I have been using thise for year.

To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

Next, disable all products (except vB Blog and vB CMS if you are running the Suite.)

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Disable

Then manually uncheck all plugins that are not for 'vBulletin Blog' and vBulletin CMS' here:

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager

You must do BOTH of those steps in order to disable all non vBulletin Modifications.

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it.

Do you have the same problem?
