  • Cron Image redirection loop

    I've noticed recently that something was trying to load at the bottom of the forum constantly.

    I tracked it down to the cron image , when i place the link in a browser I get the following message, Any Idea what i need to do to fix it or stop it happening, some of my members have mentioned it as well

    This webpage has a redirect loop.

    The webpage at http://xxxxx.com/Forum/cron.php?rand=1284810412has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

    Are you using rewrite rules in your htaccess file?

    If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

      # AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php .html .htm

      AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .html
      # BEGIN WordPress
      <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
      RewriteEngine On
      RewriteBase /
      RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
      RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
      RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
      RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
      </IfModule>

      # END WordPress

        You can try temporarily removing those rules and seeing if it fixes the issue in the /Forums directory. You may have to write a new htaccess to put in the /Forums directory that cancels out those rules. (Sorry, I'm no expert on htaccess files, I just google it all.)
