Attachments and what fileformat they are

Hi,

i would like to know if its possible to reconvert attached files to their original Fileextension. Because in case something goes wrong and I want to at least save the attachments, I need them to be the original filetype, not a extensionless filetype like they are when they become an attachment in vB.

Is there a way to archive that manually in case ?

In other Forum Softwares attachments often still stay its original filetype. Why not in vB ?
