Checking out the Uploads folder

Hello,
My attachments are stored in the uploads folder and is maybe 6 gigs. Is there an easy way to check it for malicious code? It is huge to have to look at each file. Also should there be text files in it?
I was hacked earlier in the month and want to be sure I get it all clean.

If you allow text files to be uploaded via your forums, then they may be in there.

You could either:

- download a copy locally and run virus/malware scans against it or
- ask your host to scan it on (and the rest of) your server
