Hide Member Profile to Unregistered / Not logged in - Reversal...

... Hi Guys,

Back when I had 3.8.1 - I blocked unregistered / not logged in users from seeing a member's profile.

I am now running 3.8.4 and I don't see the option to reinstate it. The option that I used in Usergroups, in 3.8.1 is no longer there.

The answer is probably so obvious, but I can't see it.


How do I put it back so that Unregistered / not logged in, can view a member's profile, please?

It's there under AdminCP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > [Edit Usergroup] > General Permissions > Can View Member Info

Thanks Trevor, but I Haven't got that option in "General Permissions". Please see the screenshot.

(I did have it in my 3.8.1 - Because what you explained above, is exactly the way I did it, to stop Guests and Unregistered from viewing them).


Any Ideas as to why it is not showing, Please?

Is it possible it's been renamed as part of a modification to 'Can view seller details'?

Is there anyway that I could stop "Unregistered / Not Logged In" viewing the "Find all posts by and find all threads by" and the "View visitor messages" link too, Please? I only want them to view the basics there.

You could edit the 'memberinfo_block_Statistics' template and wrap those lines in a conditional so that they're not visible to Guests. Alternatively, as that utilises search, disable search for guests and any guests clicking the links will be taken to a no permissions page

Thanks again Trevor. I don't really want to disable search for guests, but if there is no other way - then I would have to.
