    Paypal Transaction Error

Someone who paid for a non recurring subscription that expired and wants to buy a recurring subscription is getting this error from paypal. I dont know why and would like to get it working.

"Transaction cannot be processed because the invoice has been canceled, paid, or closed; contact the recipient for more information."

      Hello fellow TF2'er

We're using a similar function; but I have not seen this error, yet.

First thought, it's not on the forum side.

But, I'll go check a few things and see if I can help.

New Subscriptions are working okay, yes?

      It's only renewals... then...

        TF2 4 Life

It has been working flawlessly for 3 years, auto subscriptions are new but more than 10 people have used it fine. This one person is having this issue when trying to do both, different error with one time payment.

        Thread is here: http://topnotchclan.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5512

He wants benefits so I am having him just manually donate for now. Hopefully that will work.

I registered over there to have a look around, I'll keep an eye on that thread.

If I come up with anything new, I'll let you know...

I was thinking though, regardless --- if that transaction has expired and/or been canceled, then a new transaction ID should or could be generated.

If it's just this one user; there could be an issue on his side.

Anyway - if he cannot manually donate, then it's PayPal or him.

Well he has donated before, it has expired. Maybe he has a bad cookie, cache or something.

It was an issue with the persons account, some security measure paypal put on. I also updated to the latest version of 3.8.

                Thanks for the follow-up.

We recently handled ~50 transactions for renewals and new subscriptions between a VB3 and VB4 board with no issues. So, I kind of figured it must be something specific to that person's account.
