Editor link button dialog box text overwritting link text problem

Hi, a user of mine has reported the following bug:

The popup dialogue box appears no problem. I can select the default text (http://) in the box ready to paste over. But when I do paste the url replaces the text I highlighted in the advance reply box that I wanted to hyperlink to.

I use IE6 at work, no problems

I use Safari at home where I experience this problem.

I can't replicate this, but a couple of other users have also seen this.

I'm running 3.8.4 PL 1. Thanks.

Just tried on this forum using Safari for Windows with no problem.

Are they Mac users at home?

That's what I assumed, but no, Safari on Vista Ultimate on PC!

Just tried again on my own forum using Safari on Vista Home Premium with no issue doing the following:

- New post
- Quick Reply
- Full Reply

Is it only happening on your forum or on any vB powered forum that they visit? Is it only in one of the above types of posting or in all?

Worth creating a new style with no parent and asking them to switch to it and try there. Have you updated the BB codes at all?
