Is there info 'out there' in getting X latest posts from a single specific thread onto a non-vb page?

I just need to display something simple like the poster name, the time posted and the first Y characters of the post.

Would external.php work? Is there something else out there that would get me on my way?

No, external.php would not work for that. This requires custom coding which we cannot officially support. Try asking for help with this at the vB Mod site: www.vbulletin.org

Thanks Steve, I thought that might be the case.

Could someone perhaps give me a query string as a starting point that would return the last X posts from a thread? I've seen staff post these here before.
